CZECH TELEVISION VISITS STV GROUP
Armorers survived the coronavirus crisis without difficulty.
On July 20, 2020, the regional editorial office of Czech Television visited the production plant of STV GROUP and its sister companies in Polička. The topic they were interested in was the impact of the coronavirus crisis on the defense industry in the Czech Republic.

Neither STV GROUP nor its sister companies experienced a drop in orders, and it was therefore possible to maintain employment positions. But as sales director Jan Děcký told journalists, certain problems concern logistics and subcontractors "Everything has slowed down, subcontracting has slowed down." However, STV GROUP and other holding companies are emerging from the crisis caused by the pandemic as a stable group, also thanks to orders for foreign customers. At the same time, it is not only about repairs of heavy combat equipment, but also about the production of 9x19 mm Luger ammunition at STV TEHCNOLOGY. However, the Defense and Security Industry Association will try to reverse this trend, when up to 90% of the production of Czech defense industry companies is exported, by pushing for greater support for the awarding of public contracts specifically for Czech companies.
