STV GROUP A.S. ON IDET 2021:

JLTV in a unique sample as well as a demonstration of its own production capabilities

STV GROUP a.s. stand offered the visitors of this year's IDET trade fair a cross-section of the group's production portfolio as well as a sample of products from foreign partners, among which was the newly introduced JLTV vehicle of the US Army, which was demonstrated in a live demonstration for the very first time in the Czech Republic, or the COBRA CZ MRAP armored vehicle, whose development and production with STV GROUP a.s. will participate.

Among the exhibits at the stand in Pavilion P of the Brno Exhibition Center was a demonstration of large-caliber and engineer ammunition. Visitors had the opportunity to view products supplied by STV GROUP a.s. The Army of the Czech Republic – primarily 155 mm cartridges for use in the newly acquired CAESAR 8x8 self-propelled howitzers, RPG grenades for armored personnel carriers, or the Križná container missile used for remote area mining. In addition to them, the exhibition included, for example, 81 and 120 mm mortar shells and various models of demolition charges.

A busy part of the stand was also the presentation of the equipment of the sister company STV GROUP a.s. Fenix Protector. Visitors to the fair could try the VOBU ballistic vest, which is currently undergoing army trials and will be delivered to the Czech armed forces next year as a standard element of ballistic protection for every soldier. Thanks to the high degree of modularity, it is possible to adapt the vest according to the specifics of the given task. In addition, while maintaining the maximum possible comfort, the vest meets and even exceeds the requirements for ballistic resistance set by the Ministry of Defense. Along with the vest, the low-profile NPNTV plate carrier, which is newly introduced in the 43rd Airborne Regiment, was also exhibited. However, visitors to the stand were also attracted by the demonstration of the production of backpacks, including the complete MAGNUS range.

Another sister company of STV GROUP a.s., STV TECHNOLOGY, in its part presented both firearms and ammunition, including the very successful 9 mm Luger cartridges, the production of which the company is currently expanding; the goal is to produce around 6 million cartridges per month.

The company STV GROUP a.s. at the IDET 2021 fair, it also presented advanced night vision devices from the Greek manufacturer Theon Sensors, which is a supplier of these devices for the US Marine Corps. In the Czech Republic, the exclusive partner is STV GROUP a.s.

A UNIQUE EXAMPLE OF JLTV
On the area in front of Pavilion P was the STV GROUP a.s. flag. two vehicles can be seen. The first of them, which was also shown in a live show for the first time in history in the Czech Republic, was the newly introduced car of the US Army Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) of the American company Oshkosh Defense, whose STV GROUP a.s. exclusive representative on the Czech and Slovak markets. The JLTV is one of the candidates for a new light attack vehicle for the Czech paratroopers. It is characterized above all by uncompromising driving characteristics and unrivaled cross-country ability, but also by high ballistic resistance.

The second vehicle was the COBRA CZ MRAP armored car. It develops the proven concept of the COBRA 2 vehicle from the Turkish manufacturer Otokar, which offers increased protection of the crew against explosions and firearms. Partnership of STV GROUP a.s. and Otokar would enable the further development of a version of this vehicle for the Central European market and subsequent production in the Czech Republic. In addition, a logistics, service and training center would be created in the Czech Republic, which would reduce acquisition costs and life cycle costs.
