STV GROUP auctioned a unique CZ Bren 2 "Shade" rifle in support of a special forces hero

Proceeds from the auction will help former soldier of the elite 601st Special Forces Group, Pepa Burget.

Veteran to veteran. Another great project to support the specific story of a war veteran, former 601st Special Forces Group Pepa Burget member, culminated in a public charity auction of a unique CZ Bren 2 "Shade" Limited Edition rifle. STV GROUP auctioned the rifle for a symbolic CZK 243,601, i.e. CZK 200,000 above the starting price. This is not the first auction success of STV GROUP in favour of war veterans. Last year, the company auctioned a unique painting of a modern paratrooper for CZK 430,000 to benefit the Military Solidarity Fund.

The proceeds from this year's Bren 2 "Shade" auction were donated to Special Forces veteran Pepa Burget as an expression of appreciation for his service and support in his current difficult life situation. Pepa Burget is a former member of the 601st "skss" who is now battling the effects of a brain tumour. He has undergone major surgery, which has resulted in complications, but rehabilitation efforts are yielding promising results, even with the significant help of his family and loved ones. Honza is making huge strides, and the proceeds from the fundraiser will help him on his road to rehabilitation and a return to everyday life.

The auction attracted considerable public and media attention. The unique CZ Bren 2 "Shade" rifle, which stands out for its unique design and bears the insignia of the 43rd Airborne Regiment, has become a symbol of solidarity and support among veterans and the wider community.

The handover of the collection proceeds took place at the Special Forces Representative Ball on 21 March 2025 in Prostějov with the participation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Karel Rehka, Director of Special Forces Brig. Gen. Miroslav Hofírek, the commander of the 601st Skss Col. gšt. Tomáš Kramply and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Special Forces Foundation General Moravec Ing. Vladimír Ganzar. The author of the project, including the artistic and technical form of the unique Bren 2 "Shade" weapon, or the image of a modern paratrooper auctioned in 2024, is a member of the 43rd Airborne Regiment Jakub Lebó, who was decorated with a medal by the Chief of the General Staff for his long-term activity in support of war veterans.

STV GROUP, a leading Czech company in the defense industry, has long been involved in supporting veterans and their families, whether through its significant support of the Military Solidarity Fund or other activities for the benefit of our veterans. Participating in this auction was not only an opportunity to contribute to a good cause but also to express our deep respect and gratitude to those who have served our country.

Pavel Beran, Director of Special Projects at STV GROUP, commented on the auction, "We believe this contribution will help Honza Burget and his loved ones in his future life while highlighting the importance of supporting our veterans. We thank everyone who participated in the auction and look forward to seeing more projects that will positively impact our community."

Suppose you could not attend the charity auction or would like to help veteran Pepa Burget on his road to recovery. In that case, you can donate directly through the General Moravec Special Forces Foundation by paying via the QR code below.
