STV GROUP, the only Czech manufacturer of large-calibre ammunition, is also one of the world's leading producers of special ammunition for engineering purposes. Its wide range includes plastic explosives, Bangalore Torpedo tractor charges and a complete range of directional engineer charges. This makes STV GROUP a leading player in the Czech market and globally, with export successes from Western Europe to Southeast Asia.
One of the most significant products is the Black Dough plastic explosive, which is represented by its excellent formability and adhesion. This explosive is ideal for use in breaching doors, and windows or destroying unexploded ordnance and also has applications in the civilian sector for special blasting operations. Due to its properties, Black Dough is popular all over the world.
Another significant product is cumulative directional charges, which are successfully used in destroying buildings, bridge piers and roads due to their effect on reinforced concrete and steel structures. The smallest of these charges, the Beehive, takes its name from its beehive-like shape and is designed to destroy objects of various building materials. On the other hand, the largest charge in STV GROUP's portfolio is the NR-50, developed for creating cylindrical holes in the most resistant materials such as reinforced concrete and armour plates.
The Hayrick demolition charge is used for the destruction of transport infrastructure and is another example of the innovation and quality of STV GROUP products. A relatively new product is the Rapid Crater Kit Mk. II, which has been developed to maximise damage to concrete and reinforced concrete structures in particular, such as airport runways. This product has already found customers among NATO users.
