STV GROUP supported the unique project CZ FIGHTERS FOR VETERANS
Sweat and sometimes blood for a good thing. This is how one could briefly summarize the unique project CZ Fighters for Veterans, which took place on May 6, 2024 at the UNYP Arena in Prague's Libeň. The fight card promised big names and tough but fair fights between professional fighters, members of the Czech Army and the Police of the Czech Republic. And this was also completely fulfilled. From the first fight through the main card to the climax of the evening with the fight between Dominik Humburger and Jakub Klauda, the event had a tremendous momentum.
The fight between Petr Matouš, commander of the 43rd Airborne Regiment and a newcomer in the octagon, and David Dvořák, a world-class MMA star and a member of the elite American UFC organization, was particularly exciting, with the fans driving both fighters through all three rounds with frenetic applause and cheering. However, the great sportsmanship of all the fighters was not actually the most important thing about the whole evening.
In fact, the most important thing was the fact that the benefit gala supported the families of veterans who were left with an empty seat at the table or facing a serious life situation. The money collected from the sponsors of the gala, as well as from the audience in the UNYP Arena or on the screens of Czech Television, will help specific human destinies through the Military Solidarity Fund.
STV GROUP was a proud partner of the gala evening and specifically of the duel between Petr Matouš and David Dvořák. We believe that the successful first edition of CZ Fighters for Veterans will lay the foundation for a tradition that will continue and grow. We are extremely appreciative of the diligence of the organizing team, who came up with the idea to organize the gala in 2023 and devoted their free time to it, so that we could meet on May 6, 2024 in a sports hall filled almost to the last seat. In the same way, we appreciate all the athletes who gave their best for the good cause. We are honored to be a part of this project.
