The cartridge has a high explosive effect with incendiary effect and fitted with a tracer. It is designed for use in 2A38M, 2A42, 2A72 autocannons and other 30x165mm anti-aircraft or aircraft cannons.
The fuze is equipped with a self-destruct function.
