Self-propelled howitzer Type 77 DANA is a Czechoslovak artillery weapon of 152mm calibre on Tatra 815 8x8 chassis. The wheeled chassis allows excellent performance in rough terrain and also makes maintenance of the weapon system easier.
The vehicle is equipped with a 152 mm cannon, ballistic protection of the crew and a filter-ventilation system, enabling combat operations even in fallout areas.
The loading system is automatic, in case of emergency it is possible to load the weapon manually. The secondary weapon can be a 12.7mm calibre DŠK machine gun mounted on the roof of the cabin.
